El Taller is an international NGO providing i.a. management training to managers of developmental NGOs from all over the world. The NGO came into troubled waters when its director suddenly died. The new management did not avail over a similar extended network and also found it difficult to combine development idealism with basic requirements of business economics. Together with a number of other resource persons MDF (presently Especs staff) was invited to participate in the auto-evaluation of El Taller with regard to their management training efforts and the basic requirements for continued organisational functioning.
